Cardiff City, which is one of the new teams of England Championship this season, will be the guest of Wigan Athletic.
Wigan:
Paul Cook and his students managed to stay at the Championship last season. Even though they looked unstable during the season, it was important that they remained in the cluster. In the new season, they transferred Jamal Lowe, David Marshall and Antonee Robinson. James Vaughan, Nick Powell and Callum McManaman left the offensive line. Especially I think Wigan will call Nick Powell, the top scorer of last season.
Cardiff City:
Cardiff City, as we know, fought in the Premier League last season. However, it was obvious from the first weeks that they were not at a sufficient level and they could not escape the relegation. I said I expect them to be on the fall line at every turn. They did a great job by getting Robert Glazel to 6 Million Euros in the last season in Hannover. I think they could make a good pair with Boby Reid. As we know, Kenneth Zohore, Bruno Ecule Manga and Aaron Gunnarson have left the team.
Wigan’s squad quality is in my opinion inadequate for the Championship. I’m waiting for the newcomer Cardiff City to start the season with a win.
