UTA – Petrolul will be played on Wednesday at 16:30, the duel being a backlog from the first round of the second league promotion play-off. In the regular season, UTA won by a score of 3-0, both in Ploiești and in Arad.
Originally scheduled earlier this month, the duel was postponed after several “yellow wolf” players were diagnosed with a positive coronavirus. Meanwhile, things went back to normal, and the two teams also played an official post-pandemic match. Thus, in the second round of the promotion play-off, UTA surprisingly lost on its own field the confrontation with Turris, score 4-3 while Petrolul finished undecided in Ploișeti with Rapid, score 0-0, a match in which “gasmen” missed a penalty three times and the players from Giuleşti even played with two fewer players on the field.
