The University of Craiova – Poli Iași will take place on Friday from 19:00 in Bănie in the prologue of the 6th round of League 1.
Oltenia has a perfect start to the season with five victories out of as many as possible, Cristiano Bergodi’s students being the only ones in the championship who can boast of this performance. Two of the five victories of this season’s debut were ticked in Bănie with Astra Giurgiu (score 2-0) and FC Voluntari (score 2-1) and three away with Sepsi (score 1-0), Viitorul (score 4) -1) and FC Argeș (score 2-1). Although they returned with all the points from Trivale, the Oltenians did not thank Bergodi, the Italian being dissatisfied with the relaxation in the game of his students who after having a 2-0 advantage since the 16th minute, did not play nothing ending the match in ropes.
-The two teams did not draw in the official matches held this season;
-The Moldovans have only two victories in the last 10 “direct”, the Oltenians winning six games, two duels ending in a draw;
-In the last three “live”, the selection “both score” was the winner;
-Poli Iași received 12 goals this season, weaker in this respect being the Astra “flashlight” with 13 goals conceded;
On the other hand, in Copou, things have returned to a normal path after the last two spectacular victories ticked by Cristea & co, 3-2 in Arad with UTA and 5-2 at home with FCSB. With 9 points, the other three being checked against Chindia in the first stage, score 1-0, the team prepared by Daniel Pancu occupies the 4th place after five rounds, being tied with FCSB which is on the 3rd place, the “red-blues” having in spite the direct failure of Copou a superior goal difference, the Iași team pulling the strings after the defeats in the score with FC Botoșani score 4-0 and Gaz Metan, score 4-1.
The three “live” from the previous season were very spectacular. In the regular season tour, the team from Modena drew 1-1 in Bănie, the Oltenians taking revenge in Moldova, score 5-2. Also in Copou, the adventure of the youngsters in the Romanian Cup ended, Cristea & co winning spectacularly with 3-2 thanks to a goal scored in the 90 + 2 minute, eliminating from the competition the University that held the trophy.
All indications lead to a success of Cristiano Bergosi’s team but Daniel Pancu’s students are unpredictable and more than likely they will put real problems in trying to leave undefeated and continue the series of positive results in the championship. However, it is hard to believe that the Moldovans will have the strength to leave with all three points from Bănie, taking into account the form that the youngsters took in this championship start.
PREDICTION: U Craiova to win @ 1,40
