Tunisia vs Nigeria PREVIEW & PREDICTION 17/07/2019

Wednesday, at 20:00, defeated by the Nations Cup African Nations semifinals, will meet in the small final of the competition at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo. Nigeria starts its slightly favorite in front of Tunisia, after both nations have suffered severe disappointments in the “bunch of fortune”.

Tunisia was eliminated by its favorite Senegal, only after the autogol, signed in overtime by Bronn (‘100), after the white-red had made a good match. Nigeria, on the other hand, succumbed to the last leg of the game against Algeria: it was 2-1 after the goal scored by Mahrez from the free kick (’90 +4). The Nigerians just managed to score by Ighalo in the penalty (’72).

On the other hand, the results of the semifinals were dramatic, but deserved, so Nigeria and Tunisia should now focus only on the bronze medal. At this tournament, Tunisians made good matches with Madagascar (3-0), Ghana (2-1) and Mali (1-1), while Nigerian “vultures” showed good attack against South Africa (2- 1), Cameroon (3-2) and Guinea.

Nigerian matches are generally favorable to “Under 2.5 goals”: Six of the last eight goals scored in the white-green games were scored after the 60th minute! Interestingly, the two nationals met three times so far in the African Cup, and two of the disputes needed the penalty shootout to win the winner! The most dangerous players will be Msakni (Tunisia) and Ighalo (Nigeria), but we expect to see few goals, especially given the stake.

PREDICTION: Under 2,5 goals @ 1,57
