On Sunday at 16:30 pm, Tottenham and Newcastle meet in the third round of the Premier League, in an unbalanced match scheduled in London. The hosts have a small share of the victory, but we bet on a good match made by the students of Mauricio Pochettino, in front of their own fans.
Without Foyth and Sessegnon (and with Alli uncertain), Tottenham will dominate the game from the start, after having a difficult start to the season. In the first stage, Spurs came back from 0-1 in front of Aston Villa to get three vital points, and in the previous round obtained a heroic 2-2 on the field of Manchester City. Newcastle had a slightly more accessible program, but the “cotopenes” did not impress.
Without Atsu, Carroll, Colback, Joselu, Lejeune, Yedlin, Gayle, Joelinton (uncertain) and Saint-Maximin, Newcastle defenders need to defend themselves perfectly for a good weekend result. In fact, the team now coached by Steve Bruce has lost 14 of the previous 15 duels with the top 6 border, and the form shown in recent trips does not leave high hopes for black and white fans.
With only two successes in the last 13 games played on foreign soil, Newcastle has a limited lot, and Tottenham have scored at least one goal in each of the previous ten straight duels of the two teams. Anything but a success of the favorites would be a big surprise at this stage.
