I launch into the Icelandic women’s league, with a team that I like, which is Selfoss. In a league so disputed in the middle zone and removing the two roosters from the competition, it is the only team that has things a little clear.
I already talked about him this month, and he is a team that has been doing things well and last year I won the cup and this year I won the super cup at Valur. And just beating Valur or Breidablik in 90 minutes should be considered as it is not a bad team.
Selfoss started the league badly, lost 1-0 to Fylkir, a team that I do not consider entirely bad, then lost against Breidablik 2-0 but made quite expensive for what Breidablik is used to and after that he has already started winning Stjarnan 1-4 and in the cup another 0-3 to Stjarnan and a 0-2 to FH. Team that are apparently quite bad, but I do not think that Throttur is much superior.
On the other hand Throttur is a newly promoted team, which have done things well and it seems that the signings they have made are giving the result, since Throttur was expected to return to second this year again. (4-3 loss vs IBV, 1-2 defeat vs Valur, 2-2 vs Fylkir and 1-2 vs FH victory) as you can see are not so bad. And they just played in the cup and lost 1-2 vs FH. A priori they have been quite good results, especially that defeat against Valur, but I think it is a mirage since Valur is usually carried away by such great superiority. But the truth is that the other games make me doubt a little about Throttur, that is, defeat against IBV, doubts against FH that are very weak teams too.
From my point of view seeing what has been disputed so far, I think that the two places to go down will be played between FH, Throttur and IBV and Selfoss, I have no doubt that they will finish in third position.
The teams with half a table and below usually play very disorganized games with many occasions and this is where Selfoss comes in, which is a team that although they do not score many goals, if they concede very little and soon Throttur concedes, they will score. It is a team that costs Selfoss a goal, but an Asian handicap -1 and that the victory by a single goal returns seems to me a very good bet. It is difficult for me that Throttur does not grant 4 or 5 clear opportunities throughout the game.
In conclusion, a disorderly team that concedes a lot and that I think is getting results beyond its possibilities, despite having lost against authentic teams and faces a team that has maintained the block of last year and that they grant very few occasions, so I see a good opportunity to see Selfoss tomorrow take the three points and hopefully it will be at least 2 goals apart.
