At the Arvi Futbolo Arena in Marijampolė at 19:00, Sudava will receive Red Star Belgrade’s visit to the first round of the Champions League, the 2019-2020 edition.
This summer, Red Star Belgrade supported a friendly match with Romania’s champion CFR Cluj, with the duel ending undecided, 1-1. In total this summer, the Serbs held four check-ups, winning a match, the one with BW Linz, score 3-1, draw in two (Red Star Belgrade – CFR Cluj 1-1, Steaua Red Belgrade – Apollon 1- 1) and crashing into the duel with the Russians at Zenit, scoring 1-0.
The two bands also duced a year ago in the Champions League preliminaries, the Serbs winning 2-0 in Lithuania and 3-0 on their own.
It is hard to believe that Belgrade Red Star, a group already taught with the Champions League groups, in which it participated in the last edition of the competition, will prevent the champion of the last two seasons in Lithuania, the difference in value between the two batches being net in the Serbs’ favor. We expect a forceful debut of the Serbs who will give everything to take a decisive option to qualify right out of the tournament.
