SPAL VS SAMPDORIA PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Newcomer SPAL was one of the favorites for relegation at the start of the season, but on the last day of play the PhD student can definitely play safe. Sunday afternoon the already played Sampdoria comes to visit.

SPAL:

Before the start of the new season, a lot of SPAL was not expected, but it has now become clear that the formation of trainer Leonardo Semplici should not be underestimated. The current number seventeen of the ranking has collected as many points as number eighteen Crotone, but the better mutual result is the deciding factor at the moment. Because of this, SPAL is in a place with possibilities, especially considering that Crotone crosses the swords with Napoli in Naples on Sunday. Before the start of the last race of the season, SPAL has a nice chance to extend the stay in Serie A with a season.

This clearly owes the formation of Semplici to the more than solid form after the winter break. Only two of the last twelve matches were lost and these are numbers that could even belong to a subtopper. Last week, however, went wrong at Torino and that was quite unfortunate as the hosts from Turin in the 87th minute the winning goal against the ropes knew to work.

SPAL now has everything in its own hands on the last day of play and will appear fully motivated at the kickoff. Semplici will also have to improvise a lot as some basic players will have to miss this match. For example, the names of Everton Luiz, Thiago Cionek and Bartosz Salomon can be used to draw a line. These three players, who all appeared in the base last week, are suspended.

Sampdoria:

Throughout the season, Sampdoria seemed to be on track to secure a ticket for the Europa League, but just in the period in which the prizes are being divided, the team from Genoa has had to deal with a considerable form dip. The formation of coach Marco Giampaolo has performed extremely poorly in recent weeks and the last chances of European football have been lost. The gap with number seven Atalanta Bergamo has already risen to six points.

Of the last eleven games in the Serie A, only three were converted into winnings and that is simply fatal if a ticket for the Europa League is the goal. Two weeks ago, 1-0 was lost on a visit to low flyer Sassuolo and last week Sampdoria lost to Napoli for his own public. By the end of the game, Arkadiusz Milik and Raul Albiol put the 0-2 final score on the board.

Motivating his crew will be Giampaolo’s primary task this week. Sampdoria has nothing more to play for and therefore only prestige is at stake. In terms of fitness within his selection Giampaolo has little reason to complain, but that does not mean the danger this week. It is simply the question if Sampdoria can bring it up again to go to the hole.

PREDICTION: Both teams to score / YES @ 1.68
