Sampdoria vs Juventus PREVIEW & PREDICTION 26/05/2019

Without a number of major players, Juventus disputed the last match in Max Allegri’s mandate in the current Serie A edition on the Sampdoria field. The hosts are without the services of Andersen and Murru, while the Torines come to the match without Bernardeschi, Khedira, Matuidi, Perin, Cancelo, Costa and Mandzukic. We do not rule out a potential surprise in a match for the guests. The game takes place on Sunday night.

Juventus has long won the Serie A title and has 90 points now, with 70-28 golaver. With a huge advance towards Napoli, the Torinez have no more motivation in this last game, in which Allegri could use more reserves. However, the bianconer manager is looking to break out of the championship team with success, in front of the team on the 9th place (goal 58-51). Like Juve, Sampdoria no longer depends on Sunday’s result in the A Series hierarchy: white and blue will keep their 9th position regardless of Luigi Ferraris score.

Sampdoria has 9 wins and 7 failures in the 18 home games this season, where the white-blue team received just 16 goals! In comparison, Juve won 13 goals in his own home, and Napoli 16. Undoubtedly, black and white are the best team in the Italian tours with 31 goals scored in 13 successes in 18 games. It is for the second time in the last 4 years when Sampdoria and Juve meet in the final stage, and the band Blucerchiati lost the previous three disputes. Every time the Genoese got three goals, which does not give them much courage today.

In fact, Sampdoria comes after a modest set of results, with defeats suffered with Bologna (0-3), Lazio (1-2) and Empoli (1-2), the last two on their own. There were also modest draws with Parma (3-3) and Chievo (0-0), in a relaxed end of the season. Juve comes after three draws and a failure in the last four stages, in which he made 1-1 with Inter, Torino and Atalanta. Obviously, relaxation also spoke about the champions, who won four of the last five duels with Sampdoria.

The tour was 2-1 for black and white, and seven of the last eight direct duels had at least 3 goals scored! The top scorer of the championship, Fabio Quagliarella (26), will try to finish the season with another success, and his chances to score are good, given Allegri’s slightly weak team. Neither Cristiano Ronaldo will be left out and will try to end the championship in force.

SUCCESSFUL TEAMS – JUVENTUS:

Sampdoria (4-3-1-2): Audro; Hall, Andersen, Colley, Junior Tavares; Linetty, Ekdal, Praet; Caprari; Quagliarella, Defrel.

Juventus (4-3-3): Pinsoglio; De Sciglio, Rugani, Caceres, Spinazzola; Can, Pjanic, Bentancur; Cuadrado, Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo.
