QPR vs Watford PREVIEW & PREDICTION 15/02/2019

Friday evening, at 19:45, QPR and Watford meet in the best of the English Cup, in a London derby announcing itself very well.

QPR came in Cup 5 after 22 years and has no intention of stopping before the Watford duel. Finding the midfield in the second league, away from relegation and away from promotions, QPR could quietly prepare for Javi Gracia’s dueling duel that will line up more reserves in the Loftus Road game. It was a common practice for Watford this season, which used more footballers from the “second line” in the English Cup.

Watford has 4 wins in the last 7 matches and comes after an impressive success with Everton (1-0), in which Ben Foster’s defensive performance was excellent. Watford has ended 5 of these 7 games without a goal and QPR will have a difficult job in front of the opposing defender, even if he has a good balance on his own. White-blue have lost 3 of the last 4 matches played with Wigan (1-2), Birmingham (3-4) and Bristol City (1-2), and the advantage of direct duels with Watford is not relevant here.

QPR has not lost to the London rival for 4 straight games, but the last duel has taken place four years ago. QPR is on the 18th place (39-47 goals), while Watford is ranked 8th in the first league (34-34 golaveraj), and the difference between the two battles is considerable. However, the character of the FA Cup and the experiments made by Javi Gracia in the starting team could level the values. Steve McLaren will have a cautious approach in the first half.

PREDICTION: Watford to win @ 1,80
