PREVIEW & PREDICTION – Galatasaray vs Antalyaspor 12/02/2018

Galatasaray got the chance last week to take over the lead, but did not manage to use it. On Monday they will visit Antalyaspor. Does Cimbom know the three points this time?

Galatasaray had a big chance last week, because all of his competitors had been tied. Cimbom could take over the leading position again, but that had to be won. However, they came home from a cold fair, as they lost 2-1 to Sivasspor. They played an extremely bad game. Thanks to a blunder from goalkeeper Fernando Muslera and an unearned penalty, Sivasspor took a 2-0 lead. Only after Younes Belhanda came on the field did Galatasaray start playing football better. Eren Derdiyok was responsible for the 2-1 and Cimbom often came close to the equalizer. However, they started playing football too late, losing 2-1.

On Thursday they met Konyaspor at home in the cup. Galatasaray played strong and managed to win 4-1. Because of this they are placed for the semi-finals. Belhanda played a strong game and it is expected that he will start again in the starting team.

Against Sivasspor, Galatasaray played with Tolga Cigerci and Ryan Donk in midfield. This duo played very badly and was also the biggest reason of the bad game. They will still have to miss Fernando Reges against Antalyaspor. Selcuk Inan is expected to play. Also goalkeeper Fernando Muslera can not play because of a suspension. Eray Iscan or Cedric Carrasso will have to replace him. If Iscan becomes his replacement, it will be a difficult evening for the Lions.

Antalyaspor is having a bad season. The scorpions only got 21 points in twenty games and are therefore in the fifteenth position. Hamza Hamzaoglu has been at the helm since the new year. Hamzaoglu must ensure that the Scorpions do not degrade. Last, Antalyaspor won 3-1 against Yeni Malatyaspor. The coach was satisfied with the performance of his team. Hamzaoglu also hopes to show good football against Galatasaray. Their performance in the last away match does not promise much good, as they played very badly.

At Antalyaspor they had said goodbye to Samuel Eto’o and Samir Nasri on the last day of the transfer. Nasri will not be missed, because the winger did not play too well this season. Samuel Eto’o, on the other hand, will be missed out loud. The veteran managed to find the net 44 times in 76 matches. It is now up to Deniz Kadah to score for the goals. Against Yeni Malatyaspor, Kadah managed to score two more and thus brought his goal total to five.

PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.37
