PARIS SG VS METZ PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Paris Saint Germain against Metz, the list-leader against the last team. At first glance this seems to be an easy prey for the Parisians, but Metz probably knows how to stomp?

Paris Saint Germain:

The main goal of the Qatari owners of Paris Saint Germain this season was of course winning the Champions League, a goal where reigning Champions League-holder brutally ended Tuesday night. In Madrid, the Parisians lost the first game of the diptych with the Madrilenians already 3-1 and also in their own home was defeated against the team of Zinedine Zidane: 1-2. Last season, the other Spanish top club was already too strong for the French top club due to an unbeatable comeback, this season the cloth also fell in the eighth final, so the focus for the rest of the season is still on winning the Ligue 1, Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France.

All these prizes must be won without the most expensive player in the world, Neymar. The foot injury that the Brazilian ran against Olympique Marseille a few games ago proved to be of such seriousness that the star player of the Parisians was eliminated for the rest of the season. Now both Neymar and Radamel Falco from AS Monaco are injured, the road to the title of top scorer of the Ligue 1 Conforama 2017-2018 is wide open for the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani who is almost one-on-one with 24 goals in 25 matches.

Metz:

Les Grenats may well have been at the bottom of the ranking for the whole season, the fact that the team of Frédéric Hantz has not lost the last two matches and with PSG is a very aggravated opponent, will give the team some hope. Earlier this season, although 1-5 were lost in the home of the Parisians, the last weeks there is a rising line in the game of Metz. In both previous games, Les Grenats took the lead (against Guingamp even twice), but both against Guingamp and Toulouse were eventually played right, leaving Hantz and his men with only two meager points left.

In the game against Toulouse last week, three players stood up, one in the negative and two in the positive sense. Julian Palmieri had to leave the field after just over half an hour for a ridiculous tackle with two legs on Max-Alain Gradel and will have to watch the next few games from the stands. Players who were able to distinguish themselves in a positive way were goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima who kept up his team with several great saves and striker Nolan Roux who already made his sixth goal in nine games.

PREDICTION: Over 3.5 goals @ 1.61
