Nurnberg vs Bayern Munich PREVIEW & PREDICTION 28/04/2019

Bayern Munich will play a away game against 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday. Do the Munichers grab the three points in this Bavarian derby?

1. FC Nürnberg:

Exciting weeks for 1. FC Nürnberg. The club from the Franconia is going through a very mediocre season, following last year’s promotion, but people are still not relegated. With only eighteen points from thirty matches, Nürnberg is not in good shape, but VfB Stuttgart, the number sixteen, has only three points more than Der Club. Last week, a good mini-series from Nuremberg came to an end. On a visit to Bayer Leverkusen, no chance was lost (2-0).

So now the tricky game against Bayern is waiting. “The boys are looking forward to the competition; we have nothing to lose, “coach Boris Sommers stated at the weekly press conference. ‘It is clear who has the favorite role. We are working towards having a perfect day, “said the FCN coach. To mention a positive starting point for Nürnberg: in the last five home game in the league, the team never got more than one goal against.

FC Bayern:

Bayern Munich qualified for the final of the DFB Pokal midweek. Last weekend, the team of coach Niko Kovac had already played against Werder Bremen, and on Wednesday that team was again the opponent. This time it was played in northern Germany. Bayern did not have an easy evening at the Weser Stadium. It took a dubious penalty to win the match (2-3). Bayern qualified, just like last year, for the final battle of the cup tournament.

The team from Munich is therefore on course for the double, because also in the competition most of the time it is going according to plan. Of the last eighteen competition duels, no fewer than sixteen were won. The bad period, in the fall of 2018, has long been forgotten. Kovac still doesn’t have Manuel Neuer and Arjen Robben on Sunday. Although the wing attacker is back in training and they have good hope at Bayern that they can still take action this season.

PREDICTION: Over 3,5 goals @ 1,67
