In Norrköping, the game between IFK Norrköping and Malmö is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. The home team started the season weakly while Malmö is currently in second place. Can Malmö also achieve a result during this difficult on paper away match?

Norrköping is looking for the absolute top form this early season. Whereas last year only three times were lost in the entire season, this year it already suffered a loss during the first round. Malmö started this year of the Allsvenskan well. With ten points from five games, it is in second place. That is a place higher than where it finished last year. Malmö has been Sweden’s largest club for the last six years. In this period it became champion four times. Only in 2015 and 2018 did it have to hand over the title to Norrköping and AIK Stockholm respectively. This season it wants to make another shot at the title.
During the midweek Malmö played a match at home against Hammarby. Convincingly 4-1 was won by goals from Arnon Traustason, Marcus Antonsson, Sören Rieks and Markus Rosenberg. The victory was already the third in a row after previous victories over Sirius (0-1) and Östersunds (2-0). Until now, only Sundsvall has lost and against Hacken the points were shared on the first day of play. Malmö seems to be a serious title candidate.
