MOUSCRON VS LIERSE PREVIEW & PREDICTION
On Tuesday-evening, possibly one of the last matches for SK Lierse. So it got no postponement today and apparently it does not yet have a chord so that a sequel in 1B turns out to be a utopia. A big surprise for Mouscron to benefit from.
Royal Excelsior Mouscron:
A serious holiday mood prevails at Mouscron. The matches are lame and without commitment and the players are sitting with their heads exactly on their holiday. With a 7 out of 21 it is also fourth in the group and it is impossible to make an attempt at possible group wins. The last matches will probably be completed in the same way as before.
However, it started super at the play-offs with a six out of six … It says enough that it could only catch one point over the other matches. Ditto for the match last weekend against Waasland-Beveren that had not yet won a match. All in all, we got to see a nice party with some great goals. First Rotariu scored the 0-1 for Mouscron in a great way. W-B recovered almost immediately via top shooter Kiese Thelin who again found the way to goal. On the hour, Mouscron took the lead via Amallah. They could not keep track of them and twenty minutes before the end, Vanzo managed to put the 2-2 on the board. With another three minutes of extra time to go it seemed to be played but Thelin decided otherwise; 3-2 and the first victory of W-B in the playoffs.
Coach Mouscron also realizes that there is nothing to win or lose but it is a pity that his players occasionally appear in such a way. Therefore, there will probably be a lot of switching here and there, giving more players opportunities that get little through the season.
SK Lierse:
The sporty does not really take priority at SK Lierse and that is obvious, of course. The players who play now do so only for the honor because financially the club has been there for weeks without what also ensures that they possibly play their last games … forever. And honestly, it is not that they are being slaughtered, on the contrary. They make every counterparty pretty difficult as well.
Despite having only seven points, the defeats are often with a single goal difference but could also win twice and it played one time right. After the defeat of last week against Kortrijk, which still fought for the group win, Lierse was allowed to record this time for his own audience against Leuven where it won in the first game. In any case, it became a pleasant party in which we see four goals. These were neatly divided between both teams. First Aguemon scored for Leuven, after which Lierse came back on the same level via Yagan within five minutes. After half time, it was Lierse who took the lead via Bourdin and ten minutes before the end Schuermans managed to make sure both teams were satisfied with a run.
Once again, Lierse sportively managed to achieve a good performance as it actually does throughout the season. It remains to be seen what the club is doing now that it is known that Lierse might have to put a point behind it. Personally, I expect the same players who have been doing their duty for the club for some time now.
PREDICTION: Mouscron to win @ 1.60
