Manchester City vs Brighton PREVIEW & PREDICTION 09/05/2018

MANCHESTER CITY VS BRIGHTON PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion no longer play at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. At Brighton they can still increase a number of places in the rankings, but now that the PhD student is certain of enforcement, the season has already been successful enough.

Manchester City:

Manchester City can no longer rise in the rankings, but that is logical of course. The Citizens could end this season with a total of one hundred, but then the last two matches of this season have to be won. Manchester City‘s lead in Manchester United after having played 36 games has no less than 17 points and that shows once again how dominant the team of Pep Guardiola has been this season. It is true that Guardiola’s team has to accept a Premier League title this season alone and so The Citizens can not be completely satisfied with this season, but the reality is that Manchester City has often entertained us in recent months.

They did not enjoy entertainment at Manchester City last weekend. After three victories in the Premier League, The Citizens were able to match and improve a number of records last weekend, but none of that happened. When Huddersfield Town came to visit the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City did not play as we were used to and it resulted in a goalless draw against the PhD student. It was the first time since New Year’s Eve that The Citizens did not find it in the Premier League, despite Guardiola coming up with a very good team against Huddersfield Town. The Spanish manager does not give people rest in the run up to the World Cup and that decorates Guardiola, because we can also enjoy the Manchester City game in the last games of this season.

Brighton & Hove Albion:

Now that they are certain of life preservation at Brighton & Hove Albion, the garlands can go out. It is and remains incredibly clever that Chris Hughton manages to maintain this Brighton. The Seagulls reached the point total of forty last weekend and are therefore officially safe. In addition, Hughton’s team can still increase a lot of places in the rankings when the last two games of this season are won. Brighton is in 14th place, but the tenth position is only one point and Brighton has a match against a number of other clubs.

Last week, Brighton also played against a team from Manchester. On Friday night, Manchester United was a guest at the American Express Community Stadium and at Brighton they won 1-0 vs. The Red Devils. With Davy Pröpper back in the base team of Hughton, The Seagulls played well against Manchester United and Pascal Groß made the winning goal after an hour of playing football. They also needed that victory at Brighton, because otherwise it would probably still have been squeezing during the last two rounds of this season. Besides Manchester City, Liverpool is also the opponent of Brighton in the last two league games of the current season and it is not unthinkable that they at Brighton do not catch points against the Premier League champion and the Champions League finalist.

PREDICTION: Over 3.5 goals @ 2.00
