On Thursday, at 18:00, the Swedes from Malmo receive the visit of Krakow, in the UEFA Europa League preliminaries. Hanca is announced headline in red and white. The hosts have on their side a superior competitive experience.
Malmo’s advantage lies in his physical strength, because the Swedes are in full competition season. The white-and-blues have four wins and a draw in the last five matches, managing to defeat Helsingborg (4-1), Falkenbergs (1-0), Orebro (2-1) and again Falkenbergs (2-1). Admittedly, Malmo’s rivals were not exactly top notch, but the team coached by Jon-Dahl Tomasson exudes an impressive force and seems very inspired in attack, lately. And the fixed phases seem to be a specialty of the Swedes, who thus have an extra chance to surprise their opponent.
Instead, Krakow has just returned to competition and, after the tormented victory with Chobry Glogow in the Cup (2-1, after extra time), the white-reds went into the championship by Pogon Szczecin (2-1). It was a difficult match, decided by the goal scored by Sergiu Hanca himself! Krakow came back from 0-1 after goals from Alvarez (’58) and Hanca (’62), thus managing a positive start to the championship. However, the Polish defense does not offer confidence and Malmo’s superior experience could (and should) make a difference in a single round.
Malmo has only one defeat (after extra time) in the last 10 games;
Malmo have scored at least two goals in 6 of their last 7 games;
At least three goals have been scored in 8 of Malmo’s last 10 games;
They have scored both teams in each of the last 6 matches of Krakow;
At least three goals have been scored in 3 of Krakow’s last 5 matches;
PREDICTION: Malmo FF to win @ 1,50
