Lyon vs Paris SG PREVIEW & PREDICTION 22/09/2019

Lyon and PSG meet in the derby of the stage with the number 6 of Ligue 1. The match will be played on Sunday, from 20:00 pm on the Park Olympique Lyonnais.

Lyon started the new season in Ligue 1 with two victories in which they did not receive a goal and we scored nine, 3-0 at Monaco and 6-0 with Angers. However, those were the only victories achieved by Sylvinho’s band. For Lyon there was a failure in Montpellier (0-1) and three draws, with Bordeaux (1-1), Amiens (2-2) and Zenit St. Petersburg (1-1).

PSG has no problems in the championship either this season, with four victories in the first five stages. Without Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani, the Paris team won the first leg of the UEFA Champions League, 3-0 against Real Madrid. Former player of the “Galactic” Angel Di Maria was the one in charge of the show, this being the one who set the result of the break, 2-0 in favor of the hosts. The right fielder, Thomas Meunier, was the one who closed the table in the extension minutes.

– In the last 12 direct duels there were no draws;
PSG has won only 3 of the 21 trips from Lyon, from Ligue 1;
– In the last 6 direct games on this field there were goals scored by both sides;

Probable teams

Lyons: Lopes – Dubois, Andersen, Marcelo, Kone – Reine-Adelaide, Mendes, Aouar – Traore, Dembele, Depay;
Absent: Marcal (uncertain);

PSG: Navas – Meunier, Marquinhos, Silva, Bernat – Verratti, Herrera, Gueye – Maria, Icardi, Neymar;
Absent: Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler, Thilo Kehrer (injured), Edinson Cavani, Dagba (uncertain);

Morale is on the side of the guests, but Lyon is a team in desperate need of victory. In the duels between the two formations, the variants on goals were each time that brought us profit. We expect a confrontation with at least two successes, but not a show from an offensive point of view. We believe that no more than four goals will be scored in this derby, given that both teams had difficult matches in the middle of this week.
