JONG AJAX VS FC EMMEN PREVIEW & PREDICTION

As is known, the duel with NEC Nijmegen won by Jong Ajax will have to be replayed. The Amsterdam team now get the chance to wash away the frustration against FC Emmen.

Young Ajax:

Young Ajax was in first position for a while, but the decision of the KNVB to transfer the match against NEC ensured that the team from Amsterdam had to give back the three points won. Young Ajax, like NEC, collected 67 points and faces a drawback of two points on Fortuna Sittard, but with a match less on the counter. The shape of Young Ajax has been pretty good in recent weeks. Recently, the team of coach Michael Reiziger registered two surprising home defeats against Jong AZ and Jong PSV, but then three victories followed, of which only two disappeared in the books. The counter now stands at 81 goals and with that, Ajax performs the ranking of goals production.

Last Monday, Jong Ajax again played with FC Den Bosch on the goal difference. The spectacular game initially went fairly even and that made for a 2-2 score after 45 minutes of football. After the tea it was mainly Young Ajax that showed the potential. The visitors increased the pressure considerably and that resulted in a deserved 2-5 win. Mateo Cassierra made his sixteenth and seventeenth goal of the season.

As always, at Jong Ajax it is the question who will come into action again this time. The game is planned on a Friday and usually means that there is no accretion from the first team.

FC Emmen:

FC Emmen seemed to be in the fight for the title to report, but not long after the men of trainer Dick Lukkien got a lot of trouble winning matches. The team from Drenthe is hard to beat all year round, but in the last few weeks one opponent after another managed to get FC Emmen on his knees and that is why the season seems to take a bit too long. Of the last four games FC Emmen lost three, while the total number of defeats is still only seven. This shows that FC Emmen is not exactly in shape when the prices are divided. The Emmen people will easily place themselves for the playoffs, but the question is whether they really can play a role given the lack of form.

Last week FC Dordrecht and Telstar visited Drenthe in a four-day time frame and those duels seemed to offer the men of Lukkien a great opportunity to restore self-confidence. Nothing turned out to be less true. FC Emmen again failed to show the potential and as a result, a 2-3 final score appeared twice on the board. FC Emmen will now travel to Amsterdam as an underdog to meet with Jong Ajax.

Lukkien has a surprise this week as Thijs Dallinga will make his basic debut. The seventeen-year-old striker gets the chance to show his qualities because of the lack of Mario Bilate. Anco Jansen and Alexander Bannink are available again and they will also start. Youri Loen has been suspended due to his red card from last Monday.
