INTER VS VERONA PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Internazionale wants to qualify for the Champions League this season, while Hellas Verona dangles on a thread. The current number nineteen of the Serie A needs results to avoid relegation.

Inter:

The Internazionale season is characterized by a lack of stability. The formation of trainer Luciano Spalletti was surprisingly strong from the starting blocks and that quickly resulted in the leading position and mountains of self-confidence. However, in early December of 2017 things went wrong and that is still inexplicable. Internazionale set a series of eight games without victory and thus offered Juventus, Napoli and AS Roma the opportunity to flip over the Nerazzurri. Inter even seemed to fall out of the top four, but just as the crisis seemed complete, Spalletti’s formation fought back. Nevertheless, Inter will have to make progress to defend that fourth place successfully. Of the last ten duels, Inter lost only one, but then again, only three games were won. However, it must also be mentioned that these three victories were booked fairly recently. A month and a half ago, Inter lost a visit to Genoa, but then two victories and a draw against Napoli followed. In those three games, the defense did not make a hit.

At home, Benevento won 2-0 and a week later, Napoli was held 0-0. In the last game, Internazionale crossed with Sampdoria and in that game they finally showed the blue-blacks what they are capable of. Mauro Icardi had it on his hips in that race and that resulted in a cartload of goals. Between the 30th and the 51st minute, he was able to score four times and with that he took the full booty. The counter eventually stopped at 0-5. Spalletti hopes to continue the good line now and the encounter with Hellas Verona now seems to be ideal in advance to book a new victory.

Spalletti will have to do this week without Andrea Ranocchia, but that will not affect the performance of Inter. The defender came to the base this season only to five gigs. Furthermore, the practitioner does not have to take into account important injuries or suspensions.

Verona:

Newcomer Hellas Verona is currently in nineteenth place and would therefore be able to take a step back again just after a year, but the performance of the formation of trainer Fabio Pecchia has ensured that the fans can still dream of a longer stay at the highest level. Hellas Verona seemed to have no chance, but recent victories over Torino and fellow cityman Chievo Verona brought the club back to life. The gap with the safe seventeenth place was reduced to three points, and as a result, a victory could boost the pressure on the direct competitors. Crotone, SPAL and Chievo Verona are all within lap distance and that makes for a blistering final phase of the competition in Italy

The victories over Torino and Chievo gave Hellas the necessary confidence, but the last match for the home crowd against Atalanta Bergamo turned out to be a real bridge too far. The formation of Pecchia did not perform at the top of her ability and that turned out to be fatal. The defense of Hellas got no control over Josip Ilicic, who scored three times. In the end, the counter stopped at 0-5 and Hellas landed back on earth. The relegation candidate realizes that everything has to be in order to achieve results.

Pecchia still can not have Moise Kean this week. The eighteen-year-old mercenary of Juventus is struggling with an injury and this game is too early for him. The striker made three goals this season in nineteen games. Thomas Heurtaux is also on the side with a wound.

PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.38
