Guingamp vs Marseille PREVIEW & PREDICTION 11/05/2018

GUINGAMP VS MARSEILLE PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Two games before the end of the season, the season has almost run for most clubs in Germany. In the championship race everything has long been decided in favor of PSG and in the relegation battle only a few teams fight for the league whereabouts. The three-way battle for qualifying places for the Champions League, however, is still in full swing. Lyon, Monaco and Marseille have paid nothing for weeks and the clubs are close to each other within two points in the tableau.

The worst starting position is Marseille in fourth. However, the rest program of the Southern French is relatively easy and on Friday the pressure may yet be increased with a win at Guingamp. Monaco face tough form AS Saint Etienne and relegation candidate Troyes, while Lyon face Strasbourg and Nice. A threesome would put Olympique in second place for at least one night and the chances are not bad. The opponent Guingamp is stuck in the middle of the table and for the hosts it’s all about the golden pineapple. A tip on the success of the guests seems to us an interesting option to be, especially since the odds are up to 1.95 relatively high.

Guingamp:

EA Guingamp has the hoped-for quiet season behind him and never really had to fight with major relegation worries. 46 points are in the black and red to Beech and as a table fan, the club can thus draw a positive conclusion. After five games without defeat, in which Monaco was defeated (3: 1) and even a point against champions PSG (2: 2), Guingamp conceded a bust in Dijon on the last matchday. A minimal drop in voltage is thus to be felt and it will be interesting to see how motivated the hosts on Friday evening in the last home game of the season go to work. After all, it is still necessary to expand a series of three home victories in succession. Personally, with the exception of the 28-year-old attacker Abdoul Camara, who has been injured for the entire second half of the season, all players are available.

Marseille:

Olympique Marseille have an exciting final stage this season ahead of them. The upcoming final in the Europa League against Atletico Madrid outshines of course and by winning the European title, the team of coach Rudi Garcia would automatically qualify for the premier class in the coming season. Of course, one should not rely on that and most of all it would be the troupe of the Cote d`Azur, if they could still pass the competition from Monaco and / or Lyon in the Ligue Une. The form is in any case and in the league Olympique took ten points from the last four games. Add to that the success over RB Salzburg in the Euro League. In terms of personnel, Rudi Garcia has almost all options available. Only Hiroki Sakai and Rolando are out for the important away game in Guingamp. Behind attacker Kostantinos Mitroglou is still a question mark.

PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.53
