Goteborg vs Orebro PREVIEW & PREDICTION 01/06/2019

IFK Göteborg and Örebro cross the swords in Gothenburg on Saturday afternoon before the summer break starts in the Allsvenskan. The home team is pretty second while number twelve Örebro must look down. What kind of duel can we expect? Looking ahead!

Gothenburg:

IFK Göteborg returns to the top of the highest Swedish football class after a few lesser years. The current second position is excellent. Currently, the gap with the leader Malmö is only six points, with Gothenburg crediting one more game. In-house Poya Asbaghi’s team is still unbeaten with eleven points from five games. Last weekend it booked a very important victory when visiting Hacken. There was won 1-2 by goals from Lasse Vibe and Robin Söder. The latter gave Gothenburg the ultimate victory by hitting goal in the ninety-seventh minute.

The good performance of Gothenburg has not gone unnoticed abroad either. That is how Benjamin Nygren is coveted by Genk. Both clubs are said to have already reached an agreement on a transfer of the 17 – year – old top talent. Belgians immediately transfer 3.7 million euros and with bonuses this amount can even go up to 5 million euros. The striker already scored four goals in eleven games this season and is seen in his own country as a player who will eventually have to help the Swedish national team to succeed.

Örebro:

The twelfth place. Örebro has to deal with that for the time being. The lead on the unsafe fourteenth place which gives ‘right’ at the end of the season to participation in promotion and relegation matches is currently two points. Enforcement is the objective of the directors so there is nothing wrong with that. The fans are not really entertained this season in their own Behrn Arena. Once a triple point was achieved, once a draw was played and the remaining four games were lost.

Last weekend, 0-2 was lost at home to Sirius. Despite an enormous field predominance and ten goal attempts, the team of manager Axel Kjall was unable to hit. The players who should score for Örebro are Jake Larsson and Carlos Strandberg. They did not find it four times this year. Larsson is a right midfielder who likes to join the ball from midfield so that Örebro plays 4-3-3.

PREDICTION: Goteborg to win @ 1,48
