Genk vs Kortrijk PREVIEW & PREDICTION 26/07/2019

Friday evening, at 19:30, Genk and Kortrijk meet in the first round of the Belgian championship, and Ianis Hagi has a chance to make a debut with the white-blue team who transferred him this summer from Viitorul Constanta. The Youth International could make the most of our profits, because bets on goals are the order of the day in the Jupiler League.

Genk prepared for the start of the season and just won the Belgian Super Cup after a 3-0 sec with Mechelen, the band that won the Cup. Thus, Genk already has a trophy in this season and Hagi’s team hopes to fight for the title with the giants Brugge, Anderlecht and Standard. In the last game before the new season, Genk lost to Westerlo (1-2), but the coach used more reserves, making experiments in this training game.

Kortrijk is not a team to impress with the defensive force, obvious from the friendly matches this summer: 1-1 with Valenciennes, 1-2 with Breda and 1-4 with Roeselare are some of the white-red results. In fact, Kortrijk has received at least one goal in the last five consecutive games against Genk, but it is worth noting that the white-reds have pulled a draw on their last visit to Luminus Arena (1-1). The last two direct matches between the two bands ended in a tie, both played last season.

We’re betting on a good match made by hosts who want to start with the right new championship edition. Kortrijk also has the ability to score away, in a very spectacular league.

PREDICTION: Genk to win @ 1,47
