On Thursday, at 18:00, the best teams in Serbia disputed the last act of the Serbian Cup! Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade are due on the “Rajko Mitic” arena (the Red Star arena), in a duel where betting sites recommend Red Star as a favorite.
It was normal for Red Star to be nominated as a favorite. White-reds won the title without any problems, with 60 points, 12 more than Radnicki Nis, the second-place. The champion had an impressive score of 97-20, while Partizan ended in a modest 3, 58-28 golaver, and 18 points behind the big rival in the capital.
Red Star has ended the season in Serbia without a goal in the last five official games: 5-0 with Vojvodina, 1-0 with Mladost, 1-0 with Proleter, 0-0 with Mladost (in the Cup) and 3-0 with Napredak. By far, white-red have the best batch in the championship and Partizan will have to play impeccably to hope for the trophy. And Partizan ended the season excellent internally with five consecutive matches without failure: 2-1 with Mladost, 2-1 with Napredak, 2-1 with Vojvodina, 1-1 and 1-0 with Radnicki Nis (in the Cup) and 2-0 with Proleter. We note that black and white are getting empty with too much ease, which could be fatal to them in the duel with the great rival.
Statistics recommend a bet on goals, given that in the last five direct duels scored both bands. We note, however, that Partizan failed to win any of the games, managing three draws by 1-1. Two other games ended with Steaua Rosii victory, 2-1 each time. Partizan is the most successful team in the Serbian Cup, but this time it will be difficult to rise to the height of football played by Red Star, which benefits from the services of quality footballers such as Gajic, Milijas, Ebecilio, Marin, Cafu, Ben Nabouhane or Richmond Boakye, a former Juventus footballer. In the championship, Red Star escaped unbeaten from the derby with Partizan, managing a 2-1 victory and a 1-1 draw. White-red supremacy should be highlighted once again.
