We are going to the First Division of Romania, to the Championship Group and, in particular, to the match that will face Steaua Bucharest against Sepsi in the 4th round. We go by parties. This group is formed by the six best teams of the regular league (after finishing all the days) and it is played in a double match in format all against all (as in league, round trip) in total 10 days. Whoever comes first in addition to lifting the league title will have the option of playing a qualifying playoff for the next edition of the Champions League and the second and third classified playoffs of access to the Europa League. Well, with that said, we’re going with the bet. I go with h.a.-1 in favor of the locals (Steaua) so we will have green if they win by two or more goals, void if they win by a difference goal and red if they tie or lose the premises. Next I give my arguments.
The Steaua is in the 2nd position with 31 points (to 5 of the leader). His classification among the first three (and with it options to play in Europe) is practically assured since he takes 8 points to the 4th classified and, most importantly, has a template much higher than the rest by removing the Cluj (leader) and the Craiova revelation (3rd). Numbers: The Steaua in the league phase finished second and, as a local player, they won 29 points in 13 matches, being the best local by far and also being the tournament’s top scorer. Large numbers that support the pick.
The Sepsi is 6th in this Championship Group (last). Without options to get into European positions being in this group has been a reward for a good season for them. They do not have a squad to compete with the first teams (the teams mentioned above) and, as I say, they are taking advantage of this group to enjoy such a deserved classification for their season in the regular season. In the regular phase they finished 6th (qualifying for this group in extremis) and as visitors they added only 17 points in 13 matches. In the three days of this Championship Group they only added 1 points (2 losses / 1 draw). As I say it is the weakest rival and for them a prize to have been able to get here.
Another fact is that the two previous precedents that we have between both teams in Steaua field would give us green: 2-0 in both games …
At a quota above 2 and with what Steaua plays, I must enter yes or yes. In addition with all the data mentioned and playing at home to the latter is a game that can not fail if they want to rush their options for the title. I am convinced that they will win and I also believe that the pick will be given but, just in case, we cover ourselves in case they beat the minimum.
