FC Hermannstadt – Astra Giurgiu will be played on Monday from 18:00 in the epilogue of the penultimate stage. The stakes of the three points put into play are huge.
The results recorded in this round did not benefit the Giurgiuven at all. From a title contender at the end of last year, Astra has now trembled at the end of the regular season for presence in the play-off. Defend with three points for the Disciplinary Commission of the Romanian Football Federation, for “violation of article 61 bis. par. 3 regarding the lack of outstanding financial debts to the social insurances / fiscal authorities ”, the giurgiuvenii have found the final verdict in this case. The ones from TAS informed the Romanian Football Federation that it rejected the memory of the Giurgiuven group, conditions in which Astra remains with 40 points.
With 40 points in the standings, the Giurgiuvenas were matched today by Gaz Metan Mediaș and they only advanced by one point against Viitorul and FC Botoșani, formations that are on the 6th and 7th places in Liga 1, with the mention that the Moldovans have a match less than Viitorul, the one from Sf. Gheorghe on Sunday.
On the other side, FC Hermannstadt is in the 10th place with 24 points and comes after a failure in Botosani that stopped them a series of six consecutive matches with positive results.
