FC EMMEN VS NIJMEGEN PREVIEW & PREDICTION
NEC missed the title two weeks ago and will have to repackage in the playoffs. With FC Emmen, the Nijmegen team meet a team that is not doing its best.
FC Emmen:
FC Emmen had an excellent first two months of the calendar year. After five victories in a row and seven undefeated matches in a row, Emmen even gave up chances on the championship. However, the months of March and April were a lot less successful.
In the last nine games of the season Dick Lukkien’s team won only twice. Even there was even talk of the Drenthenians in the first round of the nacompetition should take office, but by four points from the last two games this could just be averted.
Emmen is experiencing a remarkable season in many ways. No team in the Jupiler League lost less than the team of Lukkien (eight times), but no team came even close to the high number of draws of Emmen: no less than sixteen times no winner could be appointed after conclusion of a contest of Emmen.
Emmen can join NEC with a virtually fit selection. Only midfielder Hilal Ben Moussa is still injured.

NEC also did not know the end of the season that it had hoped for. The Nijmegen team started the season energetically, but after the winter, coach Adrie Bogers took a step back to become an assistant to the Pepijn Lijnders who had flown from Liverpool.
However, the Limburg coach is doing a lot less with NEC. Before leaving the Goffert, the team has great difficulty in winning its matches. After the winter break, for example, two times in Amsterdam (one of which was replayed), in Eindhoven, Almere, Oss, Maastricht and also in Emmen were lost. On the basis of away games, NEC would have even finished in sixth place.
On the other hand, the team is strong in its own Goffert. No team managed to win this season. Fifteen of the nineteen home games were won and the other four ended in a draw.
Lijnders just before the play-offs goalkeeper Joris Delle and left back Suently Alberto from the selection put because he says he “only wanted to work with boys who wanted to go a hundred percent.” Delle will be replaced Marco van Duin.
