If Real Oviedo no longer has an objective in this season finale, Elche is only two points away from the 6th position, the last one that leads to the playoffs for promotion. If Fuenlabrada, the team in 6th place, gets a victory or a draw away from Deportivo La Coruna (the team fighting for relegation), then Elche would remain in the second league, the direct results with Fuenlabrada being unfavorable (two defeats ).
