Crystal Palace vs Liverpool PREVIEW & PREDICTION 31/03/2018

CRYSTAL PALACE VS LIVERPOOL PREVIEW & PREDICTION

After all the international violence, football will be played again this weekend in the Premier League. Crystal Palace and Liverpool have the honor to open this weekend in the Premier League and especially Crystal Palace can use the points well.

Crystal Palace:

Crystal Palace is far from safe and they know that at Palace itself too well. The club from London is above the relegation streak, but the gap on relegation places is only two points in favor of The Eagles. Roy Hodgson must be able to avoid relegation with Crystal Palace and also has a selection that should be possible, but the Palace coach has had a number of weeks to do with a laundry list of injuries. Of course they have used the interland break at Palace to cheer up as many players as possible, but even on Saturday, Hodgson will have to make do without a lot of potential base customers.

For the last game that Palace played we have to go back in time, but The Eagles look back on that game with a good feeling. Two weeks ago, Crystal Palace played the league game against Huddersfield Town and The Eagles won 0-2 win at Huddersfield. James Tomkins made the opening goal halfway through the first half and Luka Milivojević also shot a penalty for Crystal change. Because of the victory over Huddersfield Town, Palace now has only one point behind PhD student Huddersfield Town, but the added advantage is that the team of Hodgson generally has a much better goal difference than the competitors. The three points that Palace against Huddersfield Town managed to tackle were also desperately needed for the self-confidence of the Crystal Palace players, because The Eagles had lost their last five games and the last time they won was also more than two months ago .

Liverpool:

Liverpool will also like to win this weekend, if only because Wednesday night in the Champions League the cracker against Manchester City is on the program. Only one club will only get the semi-final of the millions ball and the advantage will be clear next week at the Manchester City of Pep Guardiola. If Liverpool wants to be active again next season in the Champions League, Saturday must be won at Selhurst Park. The formation of Jürgen Klopp does not do badly in the Premier League with a third place and the Reds already have seven points ahead of Chelsea, which is in fifth place, but Liverpool can not afford to spill points on visits to a low flyer like Crystal Palace.

However, it would not be the first time that The Reds would lose points against a lower classified opponent. Still, Liverpool does not have a lot of points against the low-level players in the Premier League in recent weeks, and if they can keep up with a season that season, they might be able to compete for the title for a bit longer. The last game that The Reds played was amply won by the Klopp team. Watford visited Anfield two weeks ago and Liverpool won 5-0 vs. The Hornets. Absolute best on the Liverpool side was Mohamed Salah with no less than four goals and an assist on Roberto Firmino’s 4-0.

PREDICTION: Liverpool to win @ 1.54
