Thursday evening, from 8pm, the Northern Irish from the Crusaders receive the visit of Wolverhampton, in the second leg of the preliminary round of the UEFA Europa League. In the first half, the English prevailed on their own ground 2-0, after a clearly dominated game.
Wolves has a lot better than Crusaders and should have no qualms about qualifying. Nuno Santo’s “wolves” returned to the European Cups after a long absence, and now they have to deal with the serious seriousness of the second UEL.
Crusaders comes from a modest, semi-amateur league, but the Reds have already achieved an admirable race in the competition, after eliminating B36 Torshavn in the first preliminary round. Before returning to Wolves, the Crusaders lost to the friendly against Carrick Rangers (0-5), while the “wolves” cleaned up and came away with a complete lot when traveling from Northern Ireland.
On Molineux, Wolverhampton won thanks to goals scored by Jota (’37) and Vinagre (’90 +3). The achievements of the Portuguese ensured the English club an easy return match, in which we will bet on the corners, betting on the dominance of the visitors. At home, Wolves won the corner kick ratio by 11-1 and so we expect that to happen in the rematch from Belfast.
