Chelsea vs Norwich PREVIEW & PREDICTION 14/07/2020

On Tuesday, at 20:15, Chelsea will receive Norwich’s visit on Stamford Bridge, in the 36th round of the Premier League. The “Canaries” are already doomed to relegation, while the Londoners need points because they are fighting for a place in the UEFA Champions League. Last stage, Frank Lampard’s team disappointed at Sheffield United, score 0-3.

Normally, the white-blues should not stumble in the home match. Chelsea do not have them at Gilmour, Musonda, Tomori and Kante, but they can line up a very strong first 11 in front of the “canaries”. Daniel Farke will do experiments (in view of the Championship season) and cannot count on Byram, Hanley, Leitner and Zimmermann.

Norwich had started the season well, but sank in the standings and now ranks 20th (goal difference 26-67), with no hope of salvation. Chelsea comes after a 0-3 with Sheffield United, a match in which it had 76% possession, and now it is on the 3rd place (goal difference 63-49), very close to securing the place of the UEFA Champions League. In the last five stages, the Londoners ticked three victories and suffered two defeats. On the other hand, Chelsea has 4 consecutive victories at home and hopes to continue this trend of performance on Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is a spectacular team, which has a good construction game, and in its last 5 matches it has scored at least one goal after the 70th minute. Tammy Abraham will again be essential in Frank Lampard’s attack, and the fixed phases will be from new to the advantage of the white-blues, because Norwich has big organizational problems at the moment. In the round, Chelsea won 3-2 on Carrow Road and promises once again a spectacular match.
