Chelsea vs Malmo FF PREVIEW & PREDICTION 21/02/2019

After losing to Manchester United in the English Cup (0-2), Chelsea struggled for qualifying in the UEFA Europa League finals in a home match with the Swedes in Malmo. The tour was 2-1 for the Londoners coached by Maurizio Sarri.

The English press writes that Sarri is also dismissed from Chelsea after a poor series of results, as white-blue lost 3 of the last five games played. Overall, Sarri came out of the title fight and was eliminated from the England Cup and the England League Cup, leaving Chelsea in the fight for the UEFA Europa League trophy. However, success in UEL is very important, because it can guarantee qualification in the upcoming edition of UCL.

So, Chelsea can not afford the wrong moves in front of Malmo, a limited rival who only brings danger through the individual flashes of Rosenberg and Antonsson. The tour was 2-1 for Chelsea, who won thanks to the goals scored by Ross Barkley (first in the European Cups) and Olivier Giroud. Frenchman Giroud is in good shape and scored in the last 4 games of the Europa League, and will be stamped on Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening at 20:00.

Chelsea is unbeaten in the European Cups for no less than 10 matches and has never been eliminated from a UEFA competition after winning the first away game! Instead, Malmo has lost at least two goals each of its last 5 away games, which increases the chances of those who bet on goals in this match. Since six of Chelsea’s last 7 matches have been scored at least three times, the “over 2.5 goals” option can be the winning option in an open match.

Malmo does not allow himself to defend himself because he needs at least one goal scored. Otherwise, Chelsea is very dangerous on the ground and practice, as a rule, a good quality football. If stars such as Willian or Hazard will feed Giroud with useful balloons, it’s hard to believe it will take long to mark the first goal. There are no bothers in the two camps, although Uwe Rosler, Malmo’s coach, can not bet Brorsson and Molins. From Chelsea absent Cahill and Loftus-Cheek, you get injured.

PROBABLE TEAMS:

Chelsea: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Christensen, Emerson; Kante, Jorgin, Barkley; Willian, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi

Malmo: Dahlin; Nielsen, Bengtsson, Safari; Vindheim, Christiansen, Bachiro, Traustason, Rieks; Rosenberg, Antonsson

PREDICTION: Over 2,5 goals @ 1,55
