CHELSEA VS HUDDERSFIELD PREVIEW & PREDICTION
Chelsea continues to win in recent weeks. On Wednesday-evening, Antonio Conte’s team will be visited by Huddersfield Town, which after the draw against Macnhester City is almost certain of life retention.
Chelsea:
At Chelsea they suddenly have a view of Champions League qualification. The team of Conte managed to get twelve points in the last four games, and Chelsea could theoretically qualify for the next season’s Champions League via the Premier Leauge. It did not seem that a few weeks ago, but now Chelsea starts to win and Tottenham has lost a lot of points in the last weeks, the gap between the two teams has shrunk to two points. With games against the promovendi Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United it should be possible for Chelsea to get six points from the last two games and then The Blues should hope that Tottenham still leaves some points this week.
Chelsea played the top match against Liverpool in the weekend. The Blues managed to win 1-0 against The Reds by a goal from Olivier Giroud, who was four times accurate in his last five games for Chelsea. The Blues booked their 21st victory of this season against Liverpool and they have as many wins as Tottenham Hotspur currently has. However, the townsman only suffered seven defeats, while Chelsea went down nine times in the Premier League this season. At Chelsea they hope not to continue the current series because of the possible qualification for the Champions League, but The Blues want to refuel in the last two league games this season in the run up to the FA Cup final against Manchester United.
Huddersfield Town:
At Huddersfield Town they are almost certain that they will also be active in the Premier League next season. The Terriers are above the relegation streak and if the match between Southampton and Swansea City on Tuesday-evening is not ended in a tie, they are sure to be saved at Huddersfield Town. That is also largely justified, because David Wagner’s team is doing very nice since the return to the Premier League. The Terriers have been above the relegation places for a while and the entire season is also right when Huddersfield Town would stay in the Premier League. The club management is namely – in contrast to a lot of other relegation candidates – not panicked and then enforcement is in all likelihood the result.
Huddersfield Town got a good deal last weekend when visiting Manchester City. Of course, Manchester City was crowned champion in the Premier League a few weeks ago, but The Citizens did play a role and it remains a good thing that Huddersfield Town got a point. However, at Huddersfield Town they have already won four away games in a row and the chance of winning at Chelsea is extremely small. For Huddersfield Town it is a week where only top games are played, as next to Manchester City and Chelsea, Huddersfield Town closes this season with a home game against Arsenal.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.53
