CELTIC VS RANGERS PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Wicked tongues claim that Celtic Glasgow intentionally lost their away fixture at Hibernian FC last weekend, only to seal the seventh series title and 49th place at the Old Firm against Glasgow Rangers on Sunday. The fact is: Had Celtic won Glasgow last weekend, then the Bhoys would already be the champions. But so the master question was postponed again – but probably only for one game day.

Celtic:

It was only the third defeat that Celtic Glasgow conceded in the 34th Scottish Premier League game this season. However, this had the consequence that four games before the end of the season, the championship is purely mathematically not gedetütet. The gap between Rangers and Aberdeen is ten points. In plain English: With a threesome against the Rangers on Sunday is Celtic champion. And how, where and against whom can you celebrate a championship better than at home with a victory over the unloved local rivals?

Anyway, the previous direct duels this season speak clearly for Celtic Glasgow. From four direct matches this season, three went to the Green-Whites, once there was a draw. Just two weeks ago, Celtic Glasgow sent the Rangers home 4-0 in the semi-final of the Scottish FA Cup. In fact, Celtic Glasgow has been unbeaten for ten direct encounters. Eight of these last ten Old Firms went to the Bhoys, only twice Celtic had to share the points with the local rivals. At home, Celtic Glasgow is still unbeaten in this Premier League season. In addition to ten wins, there were six more draws with a goal difference of 33: 8.

Rangers:

With 20 wins to date, the Rangers have only taken two less than their local rivals in the Premier League this season, but the Gers have lost nine games, three times as many as Celtic. Interestingly, Glasgow Rangers away are far better than at home. While the teddy bears, as the Rangers are fondly called, have at home a record of just nine wins in eighteen home games, plus only two more draws and lost seven home games, there were fewer eleven, three draws and only two in two away matches bankruptcies.

In the Premier League, the Rangers have been unbeaten in six outings and have won four of them. The Rangers have been waiting for their last win at Celtic Glasgow for more than seven years. At that time, the Rangers won the final in the League Cup against Celtic, which was held at the Green-White Stadium. The last victory in the league at Celtic Glasgow, however, dated 24.10.2010. The Rangers have not even scored in their last three appearances at Celtic. In fact, the Glasgow Rangers come on only two meager turfs in the last eight appearances at the Bhoys.

PREDICTION: Celtic to win @ 1.50
