Burnley vs Southampton PREVIEW & PREDICTION 10/08/2019

On August 10, at 15:00 pm, Burnley receives a visit to Southampton, in the first leg of the new season of the Premier League. The two teams avoided relegation in the second league, the previous season, and now promise a closed game.

On Turf Moor, Burnley starts the favorite in front of Southampton, which has played well since being taken over by Austrian Ralf Hasenhuttl. The “Saints” have four wins in five friendly matches played over the summer, with Preston (3-1), Guangzhou R&F (4-0), Feyenoord Rotterdam (3-1) and FC Koln (2-0).

Burnley also had good performances at the end of the summer, but the English opponents were affordable. Sean Dyche’s team won with Port Vale (3-1), Fleetwood (2-0), Nice (6-1) and Parma (2-0), while also drawing with Wigna (2-2). Failures with Stalybridge (1-3) and Crewe (0-1) were recorded at the start of preparations and are not relevant to the team’s current game. However, it is clear that Burnley remains weak on the offensive stage.

Last season, the two teams drew in both games, 1-1 and 0-0, and this time we think a point would please the rivals. Formations with small to medium sutures meet / at the gate, and selections on a tactical game could bring maximum satisfaction.
