Thursday evening, from 17:30 pm, the Danes from Brondby receive the visit of the Portuguese from Sporting Braga, in the first leg of the preliminary round 3 of the UEFA Europa League. Two teams with offensive talent, the two should once again provide us with the profits for betting on goals.
It is difficult to choose the winner of this duel, because the Lussians have a valuable enough lot to snatch a good result at Brondby. We believe, however, that we will witness a first round tacticized on the Danish arena, especially since the hosts have defensive problems and feel vulnerable in front of the Lusitanian talent. Claudemir and Silva will be missing from Braga, while Kabongo is the only unavailability of the yellow-blue ones. The odds for Bragai’s victory are declining.
Brondby needed extensions to eliminate Lechia Gdansk in the previous round, after the Nordics lost 1-2 away and won at home with the same score. Finally, Brondby qualified with goals scored in overtime by Lindstrom (’94 and ‘118). The success was paid but expensive by the Danes, who lost the next championship match, with Horsens, score 1-2.
Braga played only friendly this summer and is in the first official match, after drawing in preparations with Maritimo (0-0), Monaco (0-0) and Tondela (2-2). Braga, however, achieved categorical successes ahead of Portimonense (2-0), Oliveirense (4-1), Varzim (5-1) and Milwall (2-1). The quality of the white-red lot is unquestionable and we expect to see gaps in both gates again.
