BRIGHTON VS HUDDERSFIELD PREVIEW & PREDICTION
Brighton against Huddersfield Town may not be the most attractive poster on Saturday, but surely Huddersfield Town’s NGO is hopeful for the game. The PhD student is still not certain of retention and the same applies to Brighton, but they are much better off.
Brighton & Hove Albion:
As a PhD student, Brighton is expected to do this season. The Seagulls can not really be endangered, but they are not in too good shape either. The last three games that Brighton played were lost to Chris Hughton and his men, but Brighton is still in the Premier League. With 34 points out of 31 games, The Seagulls have already gained six points on the relegation places and Brighton has to make a lot of fur if they are really in trouble this season.
The last three games of Brighton were lost and two of those matches were played in the Premier League. After a 2-0 loss on a visit to Everton, The Seagulls lost last weekend with two goals difference when Leicester City came to visit. The game at The American Express Community Stadium seemed to be heading for a draw, but Leicester City managed to score two goals in the last ten minutes, leaving Brighton empty-handed.
At Brighton they will have a lot of confidence in the game against Huddersfield Town. The Seagulls are already four home games unbeaten against Huddersfield Town and Brighton in three of the four games to keep the zero. This weekend Anthony Knockaert incidentally his last of three matches suspensions and Hughton can next week visit Crystal Palace so again have the Frenchman.
Huddersfield Town:
At Huddersfield Town the season is a lot less than at Brighton. If Huddersfield Town manages to maintain in the Premier League then The Terriers can talk about a successful season, but then the men from David Wagner have to be full in the last weeks of this season. Huddersfield Town has a lead of only three points on Southampton, which is under the line, and so they are not sure of life retention at Huddersfield Town.
With no victory in the last four games, it is not the case that the points come rolling in at The Terriers. Huddersfield Town managed to score 0-0 a couple of weeks ago when Swansea City came to visit John Smith’s Stadium, but the last two matches that Huddersfield Town played were lost and they were also competing against competitors. Crystal Palace was too strong for The Terriers three weeks ago with 0-2 and last weekend Huddersfield Town lost 1-0 to Newcastle United. The problem at Huddersfield Town at St. James’ Park was that The Terriers only touched the ball four times in the penalty area of Newcastle United and it then becomes very difficult to score goals.
PREDICTION: Both teams to score / NO @ 1.68
