We are going with the 5th round of this Irish Premier. The Bohemians of Dublin have started the season very well, with 3 wins and a 0-0 draw at Waterford’s home, which places them in the top of the table. The Derry City has also started the season on a good note, they have achieved 2 victories in their stadium, a draw at home of Cork City (current runner-up) and a home defeat of Shamrock Rovers (one of the most difficult stadiums in Ireland).
Taking into account that both teams usually finish the seasons in half a table, their start to the season is quite good, even though I think the difference in level is quite small. It is true that I see the Bohemians more team in terms of squad this season, but Derry City is a very physical team that costs a lot to play. I think the game has a high percentage of finishing in a draw even though for me the Bohemians are better. But as always we have to talk about H2H, a very important factor for me when it comes to entering a bet, and that is that the Bohemians’ stadium seems to be a holy land for the Derry City.
In recent years it does not matter how they arrive at this stadium, they always manage to give the surprise, and that is that they have won 6 games in a row here. But we go to more, and is that being a league formed by 10 teams, the clashes between both are very important, since they play 4 times in the same year (only in league). But I will take as a reference the matches played by both teams playing the Bohemians at home: and in the last 20 games that have played both teams in this stadium we have 4 local victories, 4 draws and 12 Derry City victories.
I think the 1.80 fee covering 2 of 3 possible outcomes has a lot of value considering all of the above. Even so, we are going with the fact that the season in Ireland has just started and as I said before the Bohemians has started really well. Nothing more to say, gentlemen, let’s hope that the ghosts of the past appear on the playing field and the Bohemians of Dublin still do not hit the key with what seems to be their black beast in recent years.
