Sevillian first derby of the season, although quite different considering that there will be no public.
Personally, I think that Sevilla come to this game much better, both in terms of play and feelings. And therefore, despite being a derby, it is possible that the quota for me is higher than I expected.
It could be said that Betis is immersed in a “crisis”, where everything that surrounds the club is harming it, and that is reflected in the field. Teams, in a way, of the stature of Sevilla, such as Real Madrid or Real Sociedad, have already passed through there and took the 3 points. Although they seem to have turned those 3 losses in a row (5 in 6 games), they still have a lot of room for improvement.
In another part of the city, it seems to be the opposite. Sevilla is settling in that fourth place, in the Champions League. Today he beat Villarreal 2-0 (direct rival), and with this he has added 6 games without losing (5V and 1E) since the defeat against Real Madrid that, together with Chelsea, are the only teams that managed to beat Sevilla in the last 13 games.
Another fact that I would like to highlight is Sevilla’s visitor status: they link 6 consecutive starts winning (Krasnodar, Huesca, Stade Rennes, Getafe, Lucena and Valencia). Only against Granada and Athletic were they left without scoring.
Let’s hope that Sevilla know how to maintain this line and manage to give us this green to start the year well.
PREDICTION: Sevilla to win @ 1,98
