BAYERN MUNICH VS HAMBURGER SV PREVIEW & PREDICTION
Bayern Munich will play the Nord-Süd-Klassiker against HSV on Saturday. The club from Hamburg is the water on the lips and needs rap points. It is obviously highly unlikely that that Saturday will be caught in Bavaria.
FC Bayern:
It seems an eternity ago, but in the first half of the season there was a short crisis period, which ultimately resulted in the departure of Carlo Ancelotti. His successor, the old well-known Jupp Heynckes, turned out to be a hit for Der FCB. The figures under Don Jupp, who has been the coach at Bayern since mid-October, are hallucinatory. With the old warrior on the bench, Bayern was able to win from the 24 of the 26 games played. The club management would also like to see the 72-year-old as a coach next season.
On Wednesday Bayern will play the return of the eighth finals of the Champions League. After the 5-0 from the first match against Besiktas, it is of course no longer exciting in Istanbul. There is no real need for the rotations in the basic eleven for Heynckes. Arjen Robben, Javi Martinez and Robert Lewandowski got rest against SC Freiburg in the previous game (0-4 win). It would be logical if they returned to HSV in the starting eleven. Central defender Niklas Süle could also get play minutes, instead of one of the two regular central defenders.
HSV:
The fans and the players were very enthusiastic last Saturday in the home match against Mainz 05. There was a three-point bid. HSV furiously started the game. The stadium exploded when Filip Kostic opened the score. Only the joy was short-lived. After the intervention of the video, the goal was (rightly) rejected. It was not Kostic’s match anyway, because in the second half the Serbian missed from eleven meters. HSV therefore had to settle for a point (0-0).
With that, Die Rothosen did nothing at all in the battle for enforcement. The backlog at place 16 is a hefty seven points. A small miracle is needed to prevent the first degradation from club history since the foundation of the Bundesliga. The program offers, after this difficult match against Bayern, still some leads, though HSV is of course not that low, and every game is difficult for the North Germans.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.37
