Bayer Leverkusen will play FC Union Berlin on Wednesday evening early in the cup tournament. The teams already faced each other twice in the Bundesliga this season.

Bayer Leverkusen seems to be ready for the decisive months of the season. The shape of the Peter Bosz team has certainly been good in recent weeks. In the league, Die Werkelf is still promising for a ticket for the Champions League. Last Sunday Bayer achieved a creditable draw in the away match against RB Leipzig (1-1). Leverkusen was not inferior to the title candidate. In the Europa League, FC Porto had been beaten for the second time three days earlier (1-3).
Leverkusen made less of an impression in the cup tournament so far. FC Union Berlin still shows few signs of weakness. The PhD student still manages to score points regularly in the competition. Union recently played against Leverkusen in the league. In that match the PhD student was actually entitled to a draw, but was eventually lost 2-3.
