BASAKSEHIR VS YENI MALATYASPOR PREVIEW & PREDICTION
So far, Basaksehir Istanbul was able to stay in first place of the Süper Lig for just seven games. After losing points against Konyaspor, Fenerbahce, Genclerbirligi and Alanyaspor, they briefly returned to third place. After two consecutive wins, Basaksehir has returned to second and the gap to leaders Galatasaray is now only one point. The goal is therefore clearly the recapture of the top spot in the fight for the championship. In the event of a win, Basaksehir can also retake the league title if Galatasaray scores points against Genclerbirligi at the same time.
On the other hand, Basaksehir’s direct rival Besiktas is just three points behind. Should Basaksehir lose, you could fall back to third place. With a terrific 4: 1 home victory Malatyaspor could report back with a bang in the Süper Lig and is currently in ninth place, which is very remarkable for the promoted from last season. The co-climbers Göztepe and Sivaspor, however, are in the table in places eight and six, but still a little better there, if you try this comparison. At least Göztepe could be caught by a victory at Basaksehir.
Basaksehir:
After the surprising 4: 1 defeat against Alanyaspor one had the impression Basaksehir could have lost the thread and now somewhat the nerves. Ultimately, here were some blatant defensive errors crucial to the defeat. In addition, Basaksehir was without top striker Emanuel Adebayor started, which also made a negative impact in the game forward. However, Basaksehir was able to catch himself and win the next two games, albeit barely. Especially by the 1-0 victory in the home derby against Besiktas was clear that Basaksehir has the will to fight back to the top of the table.
The all-important away win in the last game against Akhisarspor made this will clear again. Now the team under Abdullah Avci will certainly take this momentum into the next home game. In his own stadium Basaksehir is a power anyway. At home Basaksehir only conceded a defeat from the last 17 competitive games, which is very impressive. In addition, of these 17 games even 12 were won. On his own, Basaksehir scored an average of 1.94 goals in the aforementioned matches. Looking at the defeat against Alanyaspor as a slip-up, but this is the only defeat from the last six games in the Süper Lig. Except for the striker Stefano Napoleoni and the attacking midfielder Marcio Mossoro, which will fail due to injury, the rest of the squad is full Coach Avci available.
Malatyaspor:
Malatyaspor has a violent up and down behind him. After important, but by no means convincing victories against the relegation candidates Konyaspor and Karabükspor lost the two following games against Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor relatively clear. In the final game against their own backdrop, they were able to report against a weak team of Genclerbirligi with a fairly clear 4: 1 victory. The up-and-comers can hold themselves in the middle of the league, but has repeatedly shown that constant form can not be regularly retrieved. The team of Erol Bulut has scored only one away win in their last five games and they have also beaten 0: 1 against relegation Konyaspor.
Why Malatyaspor will find his new away strength at the stadium of Basaksehir just now, can be doubted. At least the entire team squad will be fit and fit for the next match and midfielder Khalid Boutaib is likely to be the sole headline threat for Basaksehir in the penalty area. If he did not score in the last game, he scored relatively regularly. The other storm peaks, however, do not apply. However, a positive surprise came from the Brazilian new signing Gilberto, who scored twice as a Joker in the last game. Since Basaksehir is likely to be warned about his Joker goals, such a coup in the coming encounter, but somewhat unlikely.
PREDICTION: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.68
