Barcelona vs Real Madrid PREVIEW & PREDICTION 06/02/2019

Barcelona and Real Madrid meet in the tournament of the Spanish Cup semifinals. The duel between the two bands will be played on Wednesday at 20:00 on Wednesday.

The last direct confrontation between the two major rivals was played in October 2018 in the tour of the current La Liga edition. In that game, the “Catalans” destroyed their opponents with a definite 5-1 and Luis Suarez did a hat-trick. In the previous six duels on Camp Nou, the two teams split the number of wins, with two of the matches being drawn.

Prior to the same weekend record with Valencia, Ernesto Valverde’s team crossed a series of eight wins in a row in La Liga. “The Catalans” have been led 2-0 after the goals scored by Kevin Gameiro (24 ‘) and Dani Parejo (32’), but Lionel Messi has managed to restore his team by himself, goals scored in minutes 39 (penalty) and 64.

In the 69th minute of the duel with Valencia, the Argentinean left the game area for medical care, but was able to come back and finish that game.

Messi, apparently, will be recovered in time to confront the great Madrid rival, but it remains to be seen if Ernesto Valverde will risk and put him in a game that claims to be quite tough.

Rafinha and Samuel Umtiti are injured and will not be present on the field in this duel, while Jordi Alba is suspended.

Though nothing announces such a series, Real has managed to regroup after a rather disappointing period, and in this game it is presented after 5 consecutive wins, the last being won in La Liga, 3-0 in front of Leganes, Santiago Bernabeu. Karim Benzema opened the score for the hosts (30 ‘), while Vinicius Junior and Mariano increased the lead by the goals scored in minutes 80 and 90 + 1.

Jesus Vallejo and Luca Zidane are the only absences of Real Madrid for the derby with Barcelona.

Probable teams:

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Lenglet, Pique, Roberto; Arthur, Busquets, Rakitic; Coutinho, Suarez, Messi

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Varana, Ramos, Marcelo, Rakitic, Modric, Kroos, Vinicius, Benzema, Vazquez;

Even without Messi in the field, the “Catalans” are able to put pressure on the defensive adversary, as is the case with Madrid, which can take advantage of host defense problems, especially on the right flank, where Jordi Alba is absent. We anticipate a game in which both teams will score, but also on a minimum goal scored by Real in the second half of this match, this bet being the winner in the last two direct meetings.

PREDICTION: Over 2,5 goals @ 1.53
