AUSTRIA VS SWEDEN PREVIEW & PREDICTION

Tomorrow night will kick off at the same time as the Netherlands between Austria and Sweden. Which team heats up best for the Nations League?

Austria:

Like the Netherlands, Austria has disappointing years. At the European Championships in France, the team made a bad turn and for the last World Cup the Austrians did not know how to qualify.

In a pool with Serbia, Ireland, Wales, Moldavia and Georgia, Austria finished in a disappointing fourth place with only fifteen points from ten games. With this, the World Cup was out of sight at an early stage.

Like the Netherlands, Austria will play the friendly match against Sweden in preparation for the Nations League. The team is divided into a group with Northern Ireland and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The latter is the first opponent in Zenica next week.

As a result, all the big names have been removed from the barn. The Austrian stars of the present are David Alaba (Bayern Munich), Marko Arnautovic (West Ham United), Stefan Ilsanker (RB Leipzig) and Aleksander Dragovic (Bayer Leverkusen). The majority of the selection earns its living in Germany or the Austrian competition.

Sweden:

Sweden can look back with great excitement on the World Cup and the preceding track. First of all, the Scandinavians were able to win in the qualification of France and keep the Netherlands under themselves, and then settle with Italy in the playoffs.

At the World Championships, the team surprised friend and foe by winning a group with Germany, Mexico and South Korea. South Korea was won 1-0 in the opening match, then was beaten 2-1 in the final minute against Germany. Because in the last game was convincingly won 3-0 against Mexico, Sweden finished against all expectations in the first place in the group.

In the eighth final, Switzerland was eliminated 1-0 by a goal from Emil Forsberg. In the quarterfinals, the Swedes then found their Waterloo, when England was 2-0 too strong.

In view of the Nations League game against Turkey, Sweden has called for its strongest selection. Compared to the World Cup, only Ola Toivonen stopped playing international matches. Routine drivers like captain Andreas Granqvist, Sebastian Larsson and Marcus Berg are still there.

PREDICTION: Both teams to score / NO @ 1.73
