Atl. Madrid vs Granada CF PREVIEW & PREDICTION 27/09/2020

Atletico Madrid and Granada meet in a match in the 3rd round of La Liga. The match will be played on Sunday, at 15:00, on Wanda Metropolitano.

Diego Simeone kept his team intact this summer. Moreover, one of the main players from Barcelona’s rivals, Luis Suarez, arrived at Atletico. The Madrid coach said that the former top of the Catalans can start in the match with Granada, but he is still not sure if he will use it from the first minute or introduce him on the field in the second half.

Atletico comes after a decent season, with a place on the podium in La Liga, but also with a presence in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. There, Simeone’s team was defeated by Leipzig, with the score of 2-1.

On the other hand, the guests have an impressive start to the season. Granada has four victories out of as many as possible. Two of them were obtained in La Liga, both at home, with Athletic Bilbao (2-0) and Alaves (2-1), and the other two in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League.

Considering the fact that the hosts did not undergo major changes at the level of the group, we expect that the game of Atletico will be identical to the one practiced in the previous season. Thus, we bet on at least one point won by Madrid, but also on a game in which a maximum of three goals will be scored.

-Atletico is undefeated against Granada, with 12 wins and 3 draws;
-At home, Madrid have 7 victories out of as many as possible against Granada, with only one goal conceded;
-In the 15 direct duels with Atletico, Granada scored only 4 goals;
-Simeone’s team finished the previous season in La Liga in 3rd place, after Real Madrid and Barcelona;
-Granada has four wins out of as many as possible in the games played this season in all competitions;
