Real Madrid failed in recent rounds to distance itself from Sevilla. Barcelona remains at a distance, but played two matches in addition to the galactic. Ronaldo and company are the big favorites to win the league and is unlikely to make any mistake in this match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Espanyol won only one of the five most recent away matches. It is the Malaga match, the last of the series of three consecutive victories obtained by Catalans. The team approached rather than sixth place in La Liga. Real Sociedad Espanyol has brought back down to earth, even winning on the field Saturday night guests. Last round, the Basques have won 2-1. Espanyol remain so four points of Villarreal and a European Cup position.

Head to Head

Real Madrid won each of the last nine matches against Espanyol, be it of La Liga and Copa del Rey. It has been almost ten years after the last victory of Espanyol. It happens in October 2007, but then did not play match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Probable teams

Toni Kroos has escaped suspension and will play, taking his place on the field Mateo Kovacic. Sergio Ramos limped off in the match against Napoli, but could still be preferred by Pepe in central defense, along with Varane.

Guests can not rely on Baptistao Leo, Victor Sanchez and Marc Navarro injured. Javi Fuego Reyes and Pablo Piatti are uncertain, but it could be part of the team and start.
