Charleroi (Bel) vs Partizan (Srb) PREVIEW & PREDICTION 24/09/2020

Charleroi – Partizan will be played on Thursday, September 24, starting with 18:00 in the Europa League qualifiers.

This will be the first direct confrontation, will be played at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi and will be led from the center by the Scot Bobby Madden. It should be noted that only one round will be played, and the winner will qualify for the playoffs.

The last edition of the domestic competition in Belgium was stopped just one round before the end of the regular season. The playoff matches would have followed, but they were not played and Charleroi finished on 3, only a long distance from the 2nd position which ensures the presence in the preliminaries of the Champions League.
The start of the new season is an impressive one for the group coached by Karim Belhocine, 6 victories in the first 6 rounds, among which we notice a 1-0 away success at Club Brugge and an impressive goal difference, 12-2.

Unlike his opponent, the guest group has already played two preliminary rounds in the Europa League. Partizan had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch – his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. The dispute in Moldova with St. George followed. It was 0-0 after the first 90 minutes, and the Belgrade team scored in the 104th minute through the same Natcho from a very easy shot from 11 meters.

It is interesting that in the last round, from the internal competition, Partizan won at Zlatibor Cajetina, through a non-existent penalty, and you already know the scorer, Natcho. In fact, it must be said that Partizan benefited from a penalty in 3 of the last 4 stages in the internal competition. If we add the two matches in the Europa League, the team coached by Aleksandar Stanojevic benefited from a shot from 11 meters in 6 of the last 7 official matches.
Because I still mentioned coach Stanojevic, he has been leading the team since the beginning of September, and the fans do not foresee a long future for the Belgrade team.

So, we have in front of us a team that impressed in this start of the season in Belgium and a group that struggled terribly in the previous rounds with two teams significantly inferior in terms of value. The logical result would be a qualification obtained by Charleroi and we highlight the fact that the Belgian team is impressive at home, 12 victories and a draw in the last 13 official matches.

-Charleroi, unbeaten in the last 13 official “home” matches, 12 wins and a draw;
-Perfect start to the season for Charleroi who is the leader with 6 victories in 6 rounds;
-Partisan on the 2nd place in the internal competition, 6 victories and two defeats in the first 8 rounds;

PREDICTION: Charleroi to win @ 1,90
