Wolves vs Crystal Palace PREVIEW & PREDICTION 20/07/2020

On Monday night, from 20:15, Wolverhampton receives the visit of Crystal Palace, in the 37th round of the Premier League. The “wolves” are favorites to win and should get the points, given that the Londoners no longer have a stake in the standings and come without Cahill, Tomkins and Van Aanholt. No one will be missing from Nuno Espirito Santo’s team at the Molineux match.

Wolves is on the 6th place in the ranking (goal average 49-38), with 56 points, being the main favorite to win the last place in the Europa League. Behind the “wolves” are Tottenham (55 points) and Sheffield United (54 points), waiting for the wrong steps of the Midlands band. The program is, however, advantageous for Wolverhampton, who must first pass Crystal Palace. The Londoners are on the 14th place (goal average 30-47), without worries.

In fact, the lack of objective of the “eagles” was also seen in the recent form of the team from Selhurst Park: failures on the line with Burnley (0-1), Leicester (0-3), Chelsea (2-3), Aston Villa (0-2) and Manchester United (0-2). Wolves comes after a 1-1 draw at Burnley, but also after a convincing victory with Everton (3-0), which underlined the offensive strength of Nuno Santo’s boys. In the tour it was 1-1 in London, where Jota saved the draw for the “wolves”, with a goal in the 90 + 5 minute!

We already know that the two teams are profitable in the “Under 2.5 goals” bet, and this for a natural reason. Wolves plays a very good game of possession, which keeps the danger away from Rui Patricio’s goal, while Palace defends himself in a crowd and is a fan of the counterattack. It would be, however, a big surprise for Roy Hodgson’s students to get points in this difficult trip!
