On Thursday, starting with 18:45, the Alanyaspor – Antalyaspor match will be played, within the semifinal of the Turkish Cup, the second round. In the round, Alanyaspor won 1-0 at Antalyaspor, through the goal scored by Fernandes, in the 90 + 3 minute. There are already 4 consecutive direct matches in which both teams did not score, and the hosts won on their own field only 2 of the 5 disputes with the guest team.
Alanyaspor resumed the season in Turkey with a defeat at Basaksehir, score 0-2 and remains on the 6th place in the Super Lig, with 43 points obtained after 27 stages. Thus, Antalyaspor is on the 10th place in the Super Lig ranking, with 33 points. Prior to the suspension of the season, Tamer Tuna’s students also defeated the former Sivasspor leader. In the first rounds of the Turkish Cup, Antalyaspor (former finalist in the 1999/2000 season) beat Nigde Anadolu (3-2 on penalties), Eyupspor (5-2 overall), Goztepe (6-5 overall) and Sivasspor (1-1 overall, qualification due to the away goal).
Alanyaspor won a very important match in the round, in numerical inferiority, but Antalyaspor proved its value and excellent form in 2020.
