Werder Bremen crosses swords on Sunday afternoon with VfL Wolfsburg. The home-playing club fights against relegation, while visitors from the Volkswagen city compete for European tickets.

For Werder Bremen, a successful mini-series came to an end on Wednesday evening. Before the make-up game against Eintracht Frankfurt, the North Germans had an unbeaten run of three games, from which seven points were taken.
